Homeland eyes special declaration to take charge of elections

Even before the FBI identified new cyberattacks on two separate state election boards, the Department of Homeland Security began considering declaring the election a “critical infrastructure,” giving it the same control over security it has over Wall Street and the electric power grid.
The latest admissions of attacks could speed up that effort possibly including the upcoming presidential election, according to officials.
“We should carefully consider whether our election system, our election process, is critical infrastructure like the financial sector, like the power grid,” Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said….

Editor’s Note: Well, my goodness! The Fourth Reich continues to expand its horizons in true Reich form. Ultimately, it may be seen that DHS harbors a driving compulsion to just take over management of everything, eliminating the need for all those other bloated, ineffective, overly-expensive federal agencies, departments, and offices. Maybe we should just turn everything over to DHS, including our sex lives, since reproduction is also a “critical infrastructure”.
But seriously, doesn’t it warm the heart to see DHS being willing to take care of our elections for us? And wouldn’t it relieve much of our stress to know assuredly that DHS would have a new database “list” featuring all registered voters in America? Express your gratitude for their proposal below.
